Second Annual Conference of the Western Balkans Migration Network

„Migration in the Western Balkans: What do we know?“

The Western Balkans Migration Network, in cooperation with the International Burch University (IBU), is organizing 2nd Annual Conference in Sarajevo on 19-20 May 2017.

The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars and policy makers from the Western Balkans in order to create forum for exchange of knowledge and discussion of the issues that surround migration research and policy, to challenge existing models and discourses of migration, to address current policy challenges, and to offer solutions for more human treatment of migrants and better utilization of human mobility. Although the regional focus of the conference is on the Western Balkans, we encourage submissions and participation by scholars and practitioners working in other regions as well, since their experience may be very beneficial for our region.
