Ljiljana Mihajlović
Ljiljana Mihajlovic (maiden name Lazarevic) was born on July 18, 1984. in Sabac, where she finished elementary school and Gymnasium (socio-linguistic course). She completed bachelor (2009) and master studies (2010) in the field of Geospatial and Environmental Science at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade, under the mentorship of professor Miroljub Milinčić, Ph.D. She acquired the title of Bachelor of Geography for Environmental Protection with the thesis “Environment of the Dobrava river basin” and the title of Master for Environmental Protection with the thesis “Geoecological determinants of population migration in Serbia,” She enrolled in PhD studies in Geoscience in 2010 at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography. The topic of the Phd dissertation entitled Ecological and rural transformation of mountainous areas of Western Serbia in the context of sustainable development, under the mentorship of professor Miroljub Milinčić, Ph.D, she chose in 2015.
From the school year 2009/10. She was hired as a teaching fellow and since then she has been a member of the Department of Geospatial and Environmental Science at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography. Since 2011, she has been engaged as a researcher trainee on the project of the Ministry of Science, Education and Technological Development No. 176008 – Development programs for the revitalization of Serbian villages, and in 2015 she was elected research associate (re-elected in 2020). From February 2022, she was elected an assistant for the narrower scientific field of Geospatial and Environmental Science.
During her undergraduate studies, she participated in a volunteer program at Yellowstone National Park. Along with her master studies, she volunteered in the Municipality of Sabac, in the city administration, IT department, on the project of creating the Integral Cadastre of Pollutants of the Municipality of Sabac. She is engaged in the international project of the Russian Geographical Society on the topic of Research and Mapping of the Russian Cultural and Historical Heritage in Serbia. She is one of the founders of the student magazine „Ekogea” in 2007, where she was the deputy editor-in-chief until 2010, and then the editor-in-chief until 2019.
During her master’s and doctoral studies, she was engaged in teaching as an associate in the study groups Geospatial and Environmental Science, Tourism, Demography and Geography. He has published 48 authored and co-authored scientific research papers and participated in multiple scientific-professional conferences. in the field of geosciences – geography. She is married and the mother of two children.

Membership in domestic and international associations
She has been a member of the Serbian Geographical Society since 2009, as well as the Center of the Russian Geographical Society in Serbia since 2015.
Since 2013, she has been a member of the non-governmental organization „KIG” and the leader of the working group for environmental protection and sustainable development.
