Transport Geography (NOG32O3)
- Level of study undergraduate studies
- Teacher:
Ph.D. Ivan Ratkaj
- Subject status: obligatory
- ECTS: 4
- Semester: VI
- Number of classes: 2+1
To provide knowledge on development, spatial distribution, organization and the function regularities of transport systems. To analyse of modern trends in transportation geography, such as increase in mobility and accessibility with their causes and consequences. To explain the role of transport in the production of space and shaping of the economy at different hierarchical levels. To elaborate interdependence between transport and environment.
Students will be able to understand and explain the role that transport infrastructure, different transport modes and transport strategies have on the organization of space. Students will be able to independently resolve systemic transport geography issues.
Theoretical lectures
