Tourism and Spatial Planning (NOPP41I1)

Each spatial plan also contains the aspect of tourism planning as an indispensable and economically necessary segment. Bearing in mind the expansion of the tertiary sector of the economy and the growing participation of the tourism economy there, initiatives for the development of tourism as a significant development potential in the EU and Serbia and a legislative framework that seeks to create the necessary conditions for its smooth development, spatial planning as the basic activity of each national, regional and local self-government, integrates the component of strategic planning of tourism development as extremely important in the concept of overall development of a certain territory. Based on two laws (Law on Planning and Construction and Law on Tourism) there are two types of planning documents that directly or indirectly affect the development of tourism. Spatial plans (according to the Law on Planning and Construction) observe in an integral manner the entire development of a certain area, while Tourism Development Programs - Master Plans (according to the Law on Tourism) contain a dominant economic component, program and project oriented. The clarification of these concerns and principles is the basic goal of this subject.
