Introduction with the historical political geography of the world. Scientific explanation of the process of forming a political map of the world. Understanding the influence of the process of colonialism and decolonization on the formation of a political map of individual geopolitical regions of the world. Analysis of the political map of individual continents. Critical points on the political map of the world. Centers of power on the political map of the world. Theories of the world system.
The development of spatial thinking and conclusioning about the mutual causation and consequences of various elements on the political map of the world. Introduction to the subjects and characteristics of the new world order. Scientific explanation of the determinants and components of the globalization process. Better knowledge of the political, geographical and geopolitical situation of Serbia. Application of the acquired knowledge from the political geography in the teaching of geography.
