Introducing students with all kinds of natural disasters, their emergence, development, distribution and ways of protecting them. Analysis of their impact on the population, economy and changing the appearance of the landscape and the human impact on natural disasters.
Application of acquired knowledge in geography teaching.
Theoretical lectures
1. Learning about the subject matter and the obligations of students of the given course. 2. Definition, classification and consequences of natural disasters. 3. The impact of asteroids, comets and meteorites; Lithospheric disasters: tectonic movements, volcanism. 4. Lithospheric disasters: Seismism. 5. Geomorphological disasters: landslides; 6. Geomorphologic disasters: rockfalls, subsidence. 7. Climatic disasters: storm-hail disasters. 8. Climatic disasters: drought. 9. Climatic disasters: intensive rainfalls, cold, frost, fog, lightning. 10. Climatic disasters not characteristic for the territory of Serbia. 11. Hydrological disasters: floods. 12. Hydrological disasters: tsunami; avalanche. 13. Epidemics, epizootic and epiphytonosis. 14. Forest fires. 15. Protection against natural disasters and disaster management.
