Getting to know and understand the impact of natural conditions on the quality of the environment, economic activity and optimal life needs of the population. Learning and understanding the factors of changing natural conditions on Earth.Getting to know the emergence of natural disasters, but also finding the way to protect against them.

Students will examine the recent status and factors of natural conditions changes on the Earth, the impact of natural conditions on the optimal life needs of the population and economic activities, the emergence of natural disasters, measures of protection against disasters, and behavior in case of their occurrence in a certain area.

  4. Geological substrate as a natural condition; Engineering-geological characteristics of the substrate; Factors of geological conditions changes: natural factors; Factors of geological conditions changes: anthropogenic factor.
  5. Soil as a natural condition; Factors of soil conditions changes: natural factors; Factors of soil conditions changes: anthropogenic factor.
  6. Relief conditions: hypsometry, vertical and horizontal ruggedness, terrain slope, aspect; Factors of relief conditionschanges: natural factors; Factors of relief conditionschanges: anthropogenic factor.
  7. Geomorphologic disasters: Rockfalls, landslides, soil subsidence.
  8. Climate conditions; Climate change factors: natural factors; Climate change factors: anthropogenic factor.
  9. Climate conditions: Storm-hail disasters.
  10. Climate disasters: Drought.
  11. Hydrological conditions: surface and groundwater; Factors of hydrological conditions changes: natural factor; Factors of hydrological conditions changes: anthropogenic factor.
  12. Hydrological disasters: floods.
  13. Biogeographical conditions; Factors of biogeographical conditions changes: natural factor; Factors of biogeographical conditions changes: anthropogenic factor.

Presentation of exercises. 15. Presentation of seminar paper.
