Developing sensitivity to problems of teaching practice and competencies for their successful solving; Forming knowledge about contemporary concepts of teaching and learning in teaching and extracurricular process; Developing the ability to apply a systemic approach to curriculum planning; Developing knowledge about the different roles that environmental professors have during the teaching process; Training students to make an adequate choice of content by which they will form environmental habits, attitudes and a system of ecological knowledgein the most efficient way; Training students to make an appropriate choice of teaching methods, forms and means of work in accordance with defined goals and outcomes of teaching; Training students to effectively apply different teaching methods, forms and means of work (textual, visual and audiovisual) in the teaching process; Introduction of the results of scientific research carried out in the environmental protectionteachingto students.
Students' ability to teach in subjects related to the environment in primary and secondary schools.
Theoretical lectures
Subject, goal and tasks of studying the methodology of environmentalteaching; Specificities of teaching/learning of environmental protection in primary school, secondary school and university; Standards, goals and outcomes of environmental education/learning; Contents on environmental protection in curricula and teaching programmes; Role and competences of teachers engaged in education and training for environmental protection; Interdependence of teacher activities and student activities in class; Methods of teaching in environmental education; Problematic approach to environmental studies; Types of work in environmental protectionteaching; Educational technology in environmental protection teaching; Textbook - application in teaching and criteria for evaluating the quality of textbooks; Extracurricular and out-of-schoolenvironmental activities of students; Monitoring and assessing the students' achievements.
Practical lectures
Characteristics of active teaching of environmental protection; Role and competencies of teachers in active teaching of environmental protection; New aspect of communication in the teacher-student relationship and the status of students at school; Standards of ecological knowledge; Defining goals and outcomes of teaching/learning of environment protection; Principles of content selection from the aspect of development of ecological knowledge; Application of the form of work in the teaching of environmental protection; Application of teaching materials in the teaching of environmental protection; Educational workshops in the study of the environment; Tasks for independent and practical work of students; Planning of contents, methods, forms of work and teaching resources based on predefined goals and outcomes of classes; Creation and analysis of written preparation of classes.
