The objective of this course is to master the basic concepts of management and business instruments, as well as the management of business operations in the tourism industry. Within this course, students should acquire the necessary knowledge in the field of management, its elements, structure and functional areas.

Through examples of tourism management in the most developed countries of the world, students will be able to apply the best management style in tourism in Serbia, and by mastering modern management techniques in tourism will be able to complement the business of Serbia's tourism sector.

Theoretical lectures

1. Basic concepts and definition of management in tourism. 2. Factors that affect tourism management. 3. Elements of management in tourism. 4-5. Structuring management in tourism. 6. Functional areas in tourism. 7. Examples of management in tourism in the most developed countries of the world. 8. Management in tourism in Serbia. 9. Modern management techniques in tourism. 10. Possible impacts of future changes on Serbia's tourism. 11-12. Financial management and profitability. 13. Logistic functions of tourism management. 14. Entrepreneurship in tourism. 15. Management of tourist destinations.

Practical lectures

Principles of management in tourism. Types of tourism and management in tourism. The effects of natural and social factors on the development of tourism. Tourist systems and subsystems. Problems of tourism development and the role of management in tourism. Tactics in management in tourism. Management of tourist product. Marketing Management in Tourism. Techniques of creative work.
