Landscape Geochemistry (13OZS21O4)
- Level of study undergraduate studies
- Subject status: obligatory
- ECTS: 6
- Semester: III
- Number of classes: 2+2
Basic research of the geochemistry process it evolves into the environment. Greatest attention will be paid to the basic characteristics of mechanical genesis (mechanical denudation, mechanical differentiation), the system development of mechanical genesis, etc.
The outcome of the course is to examine the most important geochemical processes in the environment.
Theoretical lectures
1. Distribution of elements in the Earth's crust; General characteristics of the migration of chemical elements in the earth's crust;
2. Mechanical migration: Basic features of mechanical genesis (mechanical denudation, mechanical differentiation); System of mechanical genesis;
3. Physic-chemical migration;
4. General legitimacy of physical and chemical migration (ions in the Earth's crust, free radicals, oxidation and reduction, thermodynamics and kinetics of physic-chemical migration, diffusion and convection, radioactive processes in the Earth's crust);
5. Migration of gases;
6. General legitimacy of water migration (water as the center of migration, decomposition and water synthesis in the Earth's crust, colloidal migration and sorption, ion exchange, oxide-reduction and acid-base water conditions);
7. Hyper gene geochemical systems (cryo-genesis, halo-genesis);
8. Hydrothermal systems (hydrothermal meta-somatosis, formation of hydrothermal systems, geochemical barriers);
9. Magmatic migration and magmatic systems;
10. BIOGEN MIGRATION: education of living matter, decomposition of living matter, biological cycles of matter; Biological inert systems (soils, clays, sedimentary walls, decaying bark, aquifer);
11. GEOCHEMICAL PROPOSAL: Types of landscapes from the geochemical aspect;
12. Geochemistry and water bases of the area;
13. Bio-indication of the geochemical condition of the substrate;
14. TECHNOLOGY MIGRATION; Migration of pollutants in soil and rock;
15. Migrations of pollutants in groundwater.
Practical lectures
From the 1st to the 15th week, field exercises and laboratory analyzes and experiments are developed; an analysis of practical works is carried out (presentations, discussions, conclusions).
