Students need to acquire knowledge about synthetic regional geographic features of different geographic regions of Serbia. The purpose of this knowledge is to scientifically explain the physiognomic and functional characteristics of the regions. The gols of the subject is to define the geographical basis (natural conditions, demographics, economic structure and settlements) of the spatial and economic development of Serbia.

Based on the objective of the course, students should be able to identify and solve the problem in the region and apply it to spatial planning.

Introducing students with the subject and methods of geographic regionalization. Scientific analysis of the geographical regions of Serbia. Solving different development problems in the regions od Serbia; Cartographic analysis of different regional features; Methodology for the preparation and oral presentation of seminar papers.
