Introduction to basic principles and methods of Epidemiology, a consideration of their importance on frequency and cause of health disorders in the population.
Mastering the skills related to calculation and interpretation of frequency health disorders in a population and practical solution of the problem of prevention of health disorders.
Theoretical lectures
Knowledge of the similarities and differences in epidemiology and demography. Sources of data in epidemiology. Measures of disease. Epidemiological questionnaire. Descriptive epidemiological method. Analytical epidemiological method. Experimental epidemiological method. Supervising of health disorders. The concept of prevention of health disorders. Epidemiological characteristics of selected health disorders. Seminars should enable students to master knowledge of: applying and interpreting the results of epidemiological researchers and risk factors for the occurrence of health disorders and prevention options.
Practical lectures
Disease and mortality indicators, their calculation and interpretation, risk factors for the occurrence of health disorders, prevention.
