“BRIDGING THE MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATES” MEDCLIVAR 2018 CONFERENCE, BELGRADE
Three faculties of the University of Belgrade - Geography, Civil Engineering and Physics together with the Institute of Geography SASA and MedCLIVAR network (Mediterranean Climate Variability and Predictability) organized the Conference on Climate change in Belgrade between 17th and 22nd September 2018.
The MedCLIVAR 2018 Conference offered to researchers from all relevant fields the opportunity to address questions on the climate of the Mediterranean region in the past, present and future including its societal impacts, and climate services.
The main idea of the MedCLIVAR 2018 Conference was creating bridges between scientists, research groups, and scholars dealing with typical Mediterranean climates that are characterizing areas of California, central Chile, the Western Cape of South Africa, and Southwestern Australia.
The Conference gathered 130 participants from all over the world, including some coming from prestigious universities such as University of California Berkeley and Columbia University.
The opening ceremony was deducted to the story of Milutin Milankovic.
